A Holistic Approach to Learning in Islam

We live in a world where education is divided into secular and sacred. That is contradictory to the Islamic perception of education. In Islam, all learning is done for the sake of Allah. Whether we are learning Quran, math, engineering, aqeedah (Islamic theology), language, biology, or history, it is all done for the sake of Allah and to fulfill our purpose in life. A holistic educational approach gives meaning to learning, makes learning an act of worship, and fulfills the minds, hearts and souls of students.

Our goal is to raise awareness of holistic Islamic education, and provide Muslim educators and parents with knowledge and resources that empower them to provide a holistic learning experience to their students.

Quran

The Quran is Allah’s revelation that is meant to connect us to our Creator, shape our beliefs, and guide us through life. It is upon every Muslim to read, understand, and reflect upon the versus of the Quran to have this personal connection with the words of Allah SWT.

Islamic Studies

Learning Islam is based on the Quran and the Seerah of the prophet (pbuh).

Arabic Language

Arabic is the language of the Quran. Having access to Arabic gives access to the Quran and scholarly texts.

Academics

Natural sciences, Humanities, and Engineering have traditionally been considered part of the sacred tradition of seeking knowledge. They were taught with a philosophy of science that was grounded in faith.

Life Skills

It takes more than learning Math and Quran reading to build the character of your student and help him develop a strong identity that is comfortable in its faith and tradition.

“Whoever travels a path in search of knowledge, Allah will make easy for him a path to Paradise.“

— Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), Sahih Muslim-2699

“The acquisition of knowledge is compulsory for every Muslim.”

— Prophet Muhammad (pbuh)
